Venice is preparing to welcome one of the most anticipated cultural events in the world: the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, an event that transforms the city into a widespread stage of creativity, vision, and international dialogue.

The 2026 edition bears a powerful and meaningful title: “In Minor Keys”, conceived by Artistic Director Koyo Kouoh, who passed away prematurely last May. In tribute to her, La Biennale di Venezia has chosen to fully realize the exhibition according to the project she designed, with the aim of honouring and sharing her profound and innovative curatorial vision.

The exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, November 22, 2026, with an exclusive preview on May 6, 7, and 8.

As per tradition, the Biennale will take place across its prestigious institutional venues: the Giardini della Biennale, the Arsenale, and numerous locations throughout Venice’s historic center.

This edition will feature 100 national participations, accompanied by 31 collateral events, offering a rich, diverse, and deeply contemporary artistic panorama.
